Reach and Performance
Long-haul, terrestrial optical fiber networks connect cities and countries throughout the world. Today, these networks typically range from a few hundred to several thousand kilometers, and have largely migrated to 100G-based dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems with 80 channels or more.
Corning's innovative line of optical fibers meet all of these requirements for distance, bit rate, and capacity, and they also provide both high speed and low attenuation over long spans. In addition, they are capable of managing the dispersion in legacy, lower bit rate systems that accumulates as light signals travel over long distances as well as the nonlinear penalties that can limit performance for existing systems.
No matter your network architecture, Corning’s high-data-rate fibers address your network needs both today and in the future.
