Corning knows how to manipulate glass so it’s tough enough for auto interiors – and then we test it to make sure. Lab tests have demonstrated that Gorilla Glass has superior durability and damage resistance when compared with conventional glasses, and certainly more scratch resistance than plastic. And while soda-lime glass with anti-splinter films shatter during standard auto industry tests, Gorilla Glass holds up without the need for anti-splinter films, enabling a lower-cost cover glass solution.
